QND defeated defending state champion and top-ranked Bloomington Central Catholic 75-64 to win the 2A title -- the third state title in program history and first since 1984. Orne and the Lady Raiders achieved this despite losing 70% of its scoring from the 2009-10 team that finished second in Class 2A. Orne has been selected as the Quincy Herald-Whig's 2011 girls basketball Coach of the Year.
