We specialize in developing and promoting improved human/horse relationships through the use of classical dressage.
Dressage is the gymnastic development of the horse. This development is accomplished through specific exercises geared to the unique needs of the individual horse. This system of training has survived the centuries due in large part,to the ideal of providing choices to the horse. By virtue of this idea, the horse becomes a willing and enthusiastic partner. The rider can then enjoy less resistance and a predictable performance.
Trick Training requires an increased amount of cooperation and focus. These qualities can improve the relationship of handler and horse immensely due to the increased degree of trust necessary to perform reliably. Handlers have the added benefit of learning how a horse thinks.
Training for horses includes addressing behavioral problems such as bolting,rearing, sitting back, head shyness etc. Severe agression and ridden behavior problems can also be reschooled. Ground manners and all phases of grooming needs are addressed.(Clipping, cross ties, trailering,patience, handling for farrier etc.)
We start horses under saddle with basic dressage concepts useful for all sports. Classical system is used from the beginning resulting in a calm, easy to train horse.
Individual lessons for riders including; Lunge lessons on school horses to improve rider balance. Ridden gymnastic exercises to improve rider awareness and control. On trail lessons to improve rider awareness, control and confidence
